Ex Footballer Leon Mckenzie teams up with Lady Leshurr and MC Harvey for Debut Single

Former Norwich City and Peterborough United Striker Leon Mckenzie has embarked on a surprise career change following his retirement from football last December. After a career which spanned 16 years and yielded 105 league goals for clubs including Crystal Palace, Coventry City and Charlton Athletic, Leon has decided to launch a solo music career. The result is debut single "Finally" which is released on 19 March.

Leon has bucked the trend of footballers releasing terrible records (I’m talking about the likes of Andy Cole, Gazza and Ian Wright) by producing a very credible and slick RnB track. "Finally" features Brummie MC Lady Leshurr who is creating a huge buzz on the scene right now.  Lesh's verse is a sweet, lovely-dovey lyric mixed with singing which really underlines how versatile she is as an artist. She can do straight up grime bangers like "Good God" and "6ft7ft" and she is equally comfortable on a Pop/RnB track like this. Lady Leshurr continues to build on her sky high reputation and is destined for huge success. Former So Solid man Harvey has also taken time out from "romancing" Cheryl Cole to feature on the track.

I really rate this track and I'll certainly be downloading it. I wish Leon success with his music career as I liked him as a player and I know he has had a tough few years. He is currently doing 6 months bird in relation to speeding offences so he could do with cheering up!
