Majestic MC Releases Long Awaited Video For "Let's Go Back"

Majestic MC has finally released the hotly anticipated video for his track "Let's Go Back". The track is a tribute to UK Garage's heyday in the late 90's and early 00's. The track really captures what those days were all about and is a seriously nostalgic trip down memory lane! The track references the days of shirts & shoes, cigarette smoking, Champagne drinking, Nokia 5110s, Vinyl records, tape packs, shouting "boo", DJ EZ, Heartless Crew, Charlie Brown, So Solid, Pay As U Go and when record shops "used to earn dough". Like Majestic I was too young at the time to really have enjoyed these classic days to the full as I was too young to go the raves except for the ones for under 18's! On the track Majestic laments on how he missed out on so many things like “Liberty Larner mixing Diamond Rings” and talks of his regrets that he “never got to see Tuff Jam mix or Charlie Brown spit”.

In keeping with the theme of the song the video is set "Somewhere in London 1999/2000". The attention to detail on the video is fantastic, from the fashion including the guys wearing FCUK t-shirts and the girls wearing crop tops, to Majestic's terrible "gelled down fringe" (a style that I am embarrassed to admit I also sported at the time!). Many legendary figures from the garage scene also feature in the video such as MC B-Live, MC Creed, Martin Larner and MC Neat.

The video is shot as to look like an old recording on a VCR video tape. There is a bit in the video where the music stops and a clip from Byker Grove pops up! This was done to simulate how old random bits of pre recorded TV used to pop up all over the place when a blank VCR had been recorded over too many times! A genius idea from the video’s director- Naked Jake.

And as a lesson for those who are too young to remember, here are some old tunes from that era!

DnD- Diamond Rings
Dem2- Destiny
Amira- My Desire (Dreem Teem Remix)
Sticky feat. Ms Dynamite- Boooo!
Masterstepz - Melody
So Solid Crew- Oh No (Sentimental Things)
Pay As U Go Cartel- Champagne Dance
Zed Bias- Neighbourhood
Kele Le Roc - My Love (10 Degrees Below Remix)

In Fact just buy all the Pure Garage CD's from DJ EZ! Big up to the Old Skool!
